UPDATE: It appears that, at some point during the night, Ganz changed the items available in the eStore today. The items now available are: Hologram Projector, Unicorn Charm, Wheel of WOW Charm, and the Floral Fox.

Last month we brought you news that Ganz was releasing a line of  human-sized t-shirts for Webkinz owners.  Today we recieved the following notification from our friends at Ameriwade (www.ameriwade.com):

Surprise Saturday has returned to the Webkinz eStore and so has the Webkinz Grey Wolf, the Gorilla Charm Code, and the Wishing Well Charm Code.  The Modern Windmill, last available on September 1st, has returned too.  There is one brand new item, the Museum Dinosaur which according to the description “No bones about it — you’ll definitely want this display!”

In anticipation of the Halloween Theme being released in Webkinz World many of our members have been carefully collecting wShop coupons to help offset the cost of some of the more expensive items.  Before you get in there and spend your coupons, please take note of one important wShop/coupon glitch:  If you try to use more than one coupon at the same time, on the same “check out” screen, you will be logged out of Webkinz World.  Now, don’t worry, this glitch shouldn’t cause you to lose any of your money or items.  The system will sell you the first item shown on the check out screen and take the coupon used on that item from you.  It will not sell you the second item.  Instead it will put the coupon and the money you were going to use on that item back in your dock.  This is not a new glitch, but it is one that seems to be noticed much more at this time of year.

So, if you were planning to use multiple coupons on multiple items this Halloween season, you’re still in luck.  It just takes a little bit of extra work.  You can use as many coupons as you would like, but you are limited to one coupon per check out screen.  If you want to use two coupons for two items, that will take two transactions.  Three coupons for three items, three transactions, and so on.  In no time at all you’ll be moving furniture around in your house, and your Webkinz will be happy from all the shopping.

Wednesday’s update to Webkinz World has left many of us frustrated and confused. We continue to get reports about a variety of glitches our members are experiencing when they log into WW; that is IF they are able to log in.  Our greatest piece of advice? Spend some time here on WI where our staff has gotten together to bring you some fun and enjoyment with virtual and plushie giveaways all month long… even some leaves that you probably missed during Fail Fest!

Theres an old saying that misery loves company. We here at WI want you to know that the glitches you’re experiencing are wide spread. Here is a small list of some of them that are occurring during this GLITCH FEST, including some that can have a negative impact on your kinzcash and your virtual prize inventory.

We’re hearing about lots of problems with pet adoptions. Members trying to adopt a pug are not receiving their POTM prizes while members adopting other pets aren’t receiving adoption bonuses. Of concern to you should be Ganz’s reported policy not to replace gifts not received during adoptions. Obviously, this is one of the biggest glitches many of us are experiencing.  Thanks to AmyS77 for this screenshot.

We might suggest you clear your temporary internet files, cache and try restarting but this isn’t working for everyone.

If you’re able to get this far, let it load. Some accounts are loading slow but they are in fact loading.

We’re hearing that for some the Curio Shop wont load at all. Some members get in only to find Arte missing. There doesn’t seem to be any fix for this except to try back later. Could it be that the old dog is hiding from our members frustrated with the now infamous reset glitches in the Curio Shop? Hmmm.

We officially proclaim today a student holiday at the Kinzville Academy.

We’re confident Tabby’s voice will be back, in the meantime you can continue to do your jobs, they may be just a tad bit glitchy.

If you can get into the W-shop be prepared for a host of glitches. The most important one you need to know is that some members are reporting not being charged the correct amount of kinzcash. Check your totals against what you are purchasing. If they don’t match, try back later.

As many of our members have noticed, last month Ms. Birdy started getting very picky about the names she would and would not accept for new animals adopted in Webkinz World.  This has been quite frustrating for those who have had their carefully selected names rejected, especially since Ms. Birdy doesn’t give any indication as to what is wrong with the names she turns down.

For the past few weeks, Webkinz Insider member RedBear has been collecting data from fellow WI members, and running her own “tests” in the Adoption Center, to figure out what names are allowed and which ones are rejected.  She has determined that there are certain combinations of letters that, if they appear anywhere in a name, will cause the name to be blocked.  You can check out RedBear’s thread, complete with her list of blocked letter combinations and alternate name suggestions here: http://www.webkinzinsider.com/forum/…d-t386700.html

Following Wednesday’s system-wide update, RedBear discovered that at least 13 letter combinations that had previously been blocked are now allowed, including “LA”, “GO”, “TO”, and “MAMA”.  Be sure to check out her thread for the latest updates.

There has been one other change to the Exclusive line up.  The Webkinz Dragster, also know as the “Red Dragster” is no longer showing up on the exclusive list.  Could this car now be retired?  As of right now, we do not have any confirmation of any retirements.  It is important to note that we still have not recieved a definitive answer from Ganz on the disappearance of the Vibrant Green Mauna Loa Lamp.

UPDATE: Webkinz Insider has received an exclusive statement from the Creative Director of Webkinz regarding the changes made to the Exclusive List:

The old items to return are: Coffee Table Tomb, Crystal Advisor Ball, Frightening Lightning Window, Gargoyle Book Shelf, Gargoyle Chair, Gargoyle Sofa, Giant Spider Web, Haunted Creatures Flooring, Haunted Dungeon Gate, Haunted House Walls, Haunted Refrigerator,  Jack-o-Side Table, Licorice Bats, Mausoleum Television, and Pumpkin Pop.  The new items are: All Hallows’ Stove, Chilling Lanterns Lamp, Purple Pumpkin Chair, Purple Pumpkin Dining Table, and Spooky Cobweb Bed.

Remember that these items will only be for sale until October 28th, so don’t wait to pick them up.  Once they are gone, they could be gone for good.  Also, remember that Ganz usually releases new themes like this in two batches.  If an item you’re looking for isn’t in the shop, just be patient.  It could return in a couple of weeks.

And, it appears that there is one item we are getting a “sneak peek” at:  Witch’s Banquet Place Setting.  If you click on the empty square, you will be able to see a description and add the item to your cart.  Although the item can be purchased, we caution anyone against attempting to place it in a room.  It looks like the graphic has not yet been uploaded which means it has the potential to lock you out of your room.

Ganz will be recognizing one WW member a day as Member of the Day.  Only members who have created their My Page will be eligible.  If you haven’t done so yet, make sure to set up yours.  If selected, you’ll get a picture of your pet on the front of the My Page section plus you’ll get an exclusive trophy!

Members now have an easier way to select the My Pets feature.  Now, in the bottom left of your dock, near your pet, you’ll find a link that will quickly pull up your list of pets.

And finally, in a continuing effort to reach out to the world market, it appears that users can now access WW in several different languages including English, French, German, Italian, Portugese and Spanish.
